This module explores the ethos of the modern age and our responsibility towards society to help future generations integrate sustainability, ethical behaviour, and societal development as key pillars of life. The coursework covers real-life examples of individual initiatives and leadership. Through the course, the faculty tries to help individuals recognise their influence in society and offers solutions to promote positive change. The module also explores developments of industrialisation, neoliberalism, and globalisation.
Dr (Prof) Indira Parikh is a former faculty at IIM Ahmedabad for more than 30 years and has served as the Dean of the institute from 2002-2005. She has taught at INSEAD, Fontaine Bleau (France), and Texas A&M University. Dr (Prof) Parikh has specialised in organisation development and design, and institution building. In her long career, she has designed and conducted leadership and institution building programmes in various leading public sector, private sector, and multinational organisations.
